Not sure what to say?

If I were an artist, I could paint a picture of my cousin Amel Arthur Hilger from reading all the comments people who really knew him. He was a force in everybody's life when he was here and will be a force in Heaven where he is now. Vising in Rapides Parish this year the person I think about the most was Amel and my sister Evelyn. The Hilger boys and the Parker girls were 4 kids that were truly close cousins. I remember playing in Uncle Tid's big barn, jumping from the loft onto hay...

Sorry to hear of the passing of Amel. My prayers go out to the family and love ones. The community has lost a good man.

So sorry for your loss. May God strength you and hold your family in his arms.

Saddened by the passing of Mr. Amel, truly He was a God fearing man n was a Bright light to our Taylor Hill/Lena Communities n will be greatly missed by friends of the Community. May God strengthen you all during this difficult time. Praying ur strength In The one who is able to carry u through. May God bless n keep ur family

To the Hilger family y'all have my deepest condolences.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

Sorry to hear of his passing, he was always kind to our family, Allen and Julie Johnson

I did t sign my earlier message, but I think Amel would laugh at that. He had such a humor. The Hilger were a dynasty in Rapides Parish, and were faithful to help so many in that Lena area. Bless his family who will now have to carry on without him. Much love to Sandy and the entire family.

So sorry to hear of Amel's passing. I know you will all miss him terribly. We will keep you in our prayers in the difficult days ahead.
