Not sure what to say?

To the Cohen and Hirsch families,
My daughter Hannah is a student at SSDS. She had a very traumatic experince that effected her behavior at home and school. Amie's commitment to Hannah and myself was amazing. I don't know what I would have done without her. Her smile, humor, kindness and gentle soul are appreciated more than words can express. Amie devoted so much energy to Hannah and was there for her no matter what. She kept me going when I didn't know what to do. You have my...

I met Amie when I started working at Jewish Children's Bureau in Northbrook. The first day I started Amie came up and introduced herself. She was one of the warmest people that I have met. She was a wonderful social worker and when she decided to leave to dedicate herself more to her family many of her clients were extemely sad. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Dear Cohens,
I first met Amie at Ramah when I was a junior counselor and she was a senior counselor. That fall, I started at University of Michigan, where Amie was a senior. She was like a mother to us "Ramah freshman", inviting us to her apartment for Shabbat dinner and always being a friendly face at Hillel and on campus.

Over the past 8 years we were on staff together again, this time with our families. Our daughters were in the same cabin last year.
I was...

To Amie's family,
We met Amie through our son Tom when they were both at Ramah and we immediately became friends. We were priviliged to attend her wedding and the bat mitzvah of Rachel. We will truly miss her.

Tom,
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your wife Amie. I only can say that you and your family are in my prayers during your time of sorrow. God bless. Rick

Dear Rachel and the Cohen family:
I first met your mom when I was around 7 years old and she was my big sister Mayira's Rosh Aidah at Ramah. When we met up again later I was on staff, and I had the privilege of sharing meals, meetings, and other aspects of day to day work at Ramah with her. She treated me as an adult when other members of the staff did not, a kindness so singular I have never forgotten it. I watched her help countless staff and campers work through all sorts of...

To the Hirsch and Cohen families, I wanted to extend my deepest and most heart felt sympathies. I just learned of Amie's passing, and was so saddened by the news. Amie and I were close friends in High School, and ran into each other many times over the years. I have the fondest memories of her and our time together as she was a kind and gentle sole. She will be greatly missed. I send you all my thoughts and prayers.

To the Hirsch and Cohen Families. I was very sad to hear about Amies passing. I was a camper when she was on staff at Ramah. I had the chance to see Amie a few years ago at our reunion. It was a wonderful time to talk about camp memories and to catch up on what had happened over the last 20 years. She had the most wonderful smile! She was a such a special person, caring , kind and concerned about others and a great listener.
She will be missed.
