She was always up to the minute with the lastest about everything.
I remember “Widge” as he was growing up during his years at Lehigh.

Surprised to see your mother's obit. She was always special to Betty & me. Now they are all in heaven, & there aren't many of us left. I just talked to Marilyn Schaadt & will call Ed Lynch, Jim Walls, Ernie Gitlin & Patty Miller. Your Mom was a Lady, she cared about people. I'm sure God is holding her in the palm of His hand.

IT WAS A PLEASURE FOR ME TO WORK (CAREGIVER) WITH MRS DEVANEY THESE ALMOST SIX YEARS, AND SHE WAS A TRUE CHAMPION TO THE VERY END. IN ALL MY YEARS OF CAREGIVING I HAVE NEVER MET ANYONE LIKE MRS.
