Amy Elizabeth Hargis Hood
Lascassas - Amy Elizabeth Hargis Hood, died at her home near Lascassas on November 20, 2018 at age 56. She was born July 23, 1962 in Maury County, TN. She spent most of her childhood in Tullahoma and Murfreesboro. Her parents were Harry Lee Hargis and Mary Elaine Hargis. She graduated from Oakland High School in 1980. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agri-business at Middle Tennessee State University in 1983. She was employed by Tractor Supply and later the U.S. Postal Service.
Amy Hood is survived by her mother, Mary Elaine Hargis; a sister, Mary Kathleen Hargis Zglav; her husband, Larry Hood; her daughter, Emileen Megan Holladay; her son, Clinton Lee Holladay; and two grandchildren, Jacob Marshall Holladay and Lilian May Holladay.
Amy Hood enjoyed being outdoors in nature hiking, fishing, collecting rocks and horseback riding. She especially enjoyed working in her flower gardens.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of memorial services beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Richard Paddon will officiate, and an online guestbook is available for the Hood family at www.woodfinchapel.com

Amy was very sweet person. Can't believe you are gone. Many hearts are aching because life will never be the same. Praying for Larry and your children and grandchildren who were dear to your heart. Miss you until we meet again my friend. Rest In Peace.
