Amy Jo Johnston, age 51, of Burnside, KY, departed this life on November 5th, 2015 at her residence.

Amy was born on September 23, 1964 in Nancy, KY, to the late Brent Eugene and Elsie Mae Norfleet Garner. Amy was a homemaker, who loved being a "Nana" and enjoyed watching hummingbirds and her flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Lee Johnston, whom she married on August 12, 1995 in Hot Springs, VA; a son, Tyler Steven Evans of Burnside; a daughter, Billie Jean (and Aaron) Blacketer of Nancy; two grandchildren, Jolee Ann "Doodlebug" Blacketer and Paislee Jean "Taterbug" Blacketer; a brother, Jeffrey (and Carrie) Garner of Nancy; three sisters, Cathy (and Gene) Smith of Somerset, Jill Blair (and Joe Ledington) of Nancy and Rebecca (and Mike) Davis of Hardingsburg; brothers-in-law, Greg Johnston of Keno, Clyde (and Lannie) Johnston of Burnside and Keith Flanagan of Nancy; sisters-in-law, Sandra (and John) Johnston of Keno and Gail (and Tony) Decker of Keno; a mother-in-law, Joyce Lee Johnston of Keno; and a special uncle, Dan (and Terri) Johnston of Anderson, IN.

Along with her parents, Amy is preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Flanagan; and a father-in-law, Buddy Johnston.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 8th, 2015 at 5:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th, 2015 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Program.

Lake Cumberland Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Amy Jo Johnston.
