LOVING, Amy Rebecca, after a very long illness, has now joined her friends around a card table in heaven. Her husband, Stanley; and grand-daughter, Jolene, are by her side. Her three sons and their wives, Stanley and Carol, Johnny and Bettijo, and Richard and Clara, celebrate her life and her freedom from suffering. Her sister, Margaret Gustofson, will sorely miss her, but is relieved that she is no longer in pain. Amy loved and took pride in her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will also miss all of her friends "up the country." Amy retired after many years of service at Bell Atlantic Phone Company. She loved her community service as a clown for the Pioneers. Amy was a longstanding member of Victory Baptist Church. She loved her Lord, and we know that she is at peace in his hands. The family will receive friends today, Friday, January 16, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Atlee Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, Rte. 301 and Shady Grove Road, Mechanicsville, Va. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2009, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church, www.VBCRICHMOND.org.
