Burns Funeral Home - Frankford Ave. Obituary

Amy J. Maisey (nee Wolf) passed away August 14, 2024.  Devoted mother of Sabrina Maisey and Melissa Maisey.  Dear daughter of the late Alexander and Muriel Wolf.  Loving sister of Lisa Turco (Vince) and the late Richard Wolf (Karen).  Amy will also be sadly missed by her loving friends Maryann Fanning, Joseph and Christine Messina, Nicole Boyko, Julie and Bill Davis, Nancy Bristow, her cousins Tony Cook, Debbie Cook, Joe "Zeppie" Rocchi and her grand fur babies Carter and Bailey.  Amy was proud of her Pumunkey Indian Tribe heritage. Her smile and laughter were contagious, and lit up any room she walked into.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday, August 24, 2024, 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by her Service 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Amy's children would be appreciated.

She loved all things 80’s, tie-dye, & peace signs. So we ask you to come wearing band tees, tie-dye, or anything colorful. Our mom wouldn’t want us to grieve her in black, but to celebrate her in color.

Not sure what to say?

Sweet girl. We were all besties when I lived in Gloucester Lane in the late 70’s. We had so much fun hanging with our friends . Fly high beautiful lady ❤

I met Amy in high school she was a year ahead of me. We clicked right away at the same lunch table. We were talking about our nationality and found out we were both from same Indian tribe.
We worked together at Burger King and started hanging out we did drift apart but every time we would see each other she was so happy to see me. I will truly miss her.

Amy was always the person that upon seeing her infectious smile your day and heart was lifted and became lighter. She turned all bad into good by her presence. She was true to her family and friends and a shining light that will continue to shine in all memories of lives she touched.
So fortunate to have known her throughout our childhood and school years. This world was a better place with her huge heart ♥ in it for all to share. Any will be truly missed.

February 2024

Amy and I are first cousins.
Although I grew up with Amy‘s brother Rick,
I really enjoyed hanging out with Amy the last 10 years. Amy was the kindest person I knew, always giving of herself first. Amy loved her girls and wanted them to be good friends. I came to learn that Amy had the best friends in the world. Always there when she needed them
My birthday is February 6, so I tried to make sure that her and I went out to lunch for our birthdays together I cannot believe that I...

I had the pleasure of know Amy as we worked together at Torresdale Pediatrics in the late 90’s early 2000’s and there was never a day I can remember that Amy wasn’t laughing out loud or at least smiling!!! She lived for her girls and talked about them all the time with a huge smile on her face. Besides her scrubs, I never saw her in anything but tie dyed band t-shirts and I think she will love seeing everyone honoring her in one! Yes, I totally believe she will be there to see it all with...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Amy was my niece. She was very much loved by my husband and me. She will be greatly missed.
She will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. We will miss her infectious smile .

I haven't seen Amy is a long time but graduated with her from Ryan. She was always making me laugh and I can only imagine how fun of a mom she was. Rest in peace my fiend.

Amy was always a fun loving and joyful friend I made many other friends knowing her. Sitting at Amy’s table (parents house) as a teen in Morrell Park eating pizza talking about the past and future with many laughs. How life back then seemed as if there wasn’t an end back in those carefree days. We’d all go to BK in my green Datsun 210 to eat when Amy was working. Always had the cutest smile. Also loved the karaoke nights at Penny’s Tavern where Amy’s mom made the best wings in the city....
