Robinson Funeral Home and Crematory - Downtown - Easley Obituary

Amy Michelle Ison Murray
Pickens, SC

Mrs. Amy Michelle Ison Murray, 31, of Pickens, loving wife of Brian Milton Murray, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016.

Amy was born in Martin, Kentucky on July 17, 1984 to Kathy Lynn Slone Nations and Edgar "Eddie" Sherman Ison, Jr. Amy was a giver. She loved to help any needy or homeless person in the area. She had a heart of gold as she served in every aspect that she could, be it her home, her community, or her children's school. She loved her Lord and Savior, and was a devout Christian. One of Amy's many talents was making personalized items for family, friends and other acquaintances. She was one of the administrators of the Pickens County Yard Sale site and she attended East Pickens Baptist Church.

Amy was such a loving person, from her family to her Lord. She even wrote the following passage: "After a bad day, it was nice to sit down after putting the kids to bed and rejuvenate my spirit by reading a few random passages from the Bible. It made me realize when I die, I don't want to have been the pretty one, the funny one, the responsible one, the organized one, the rich in money one... I want to have been the kind one, the compassionate one, the caring one, the loving one, the rich in blessings of people who love me... I hope I am doing well on becoming who I want to be."

In addition to her loving husband and her mother, Amy is survived by her son; Cameron Brewer of the home; two daughters; Kaitlynn Brewer and Addison Murray, both of the home; her step-father; Joey Nations of Easley; and a brother; Jeremy Ison of Easley. She is also survived by a half-brother; Brent Ison of Ohio; and a sister-in-law; Stephanie Ison of Greenwood; and a host of other family members including Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to her biological father she was preceded in death by a brother; Jason Ison.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday prior to the service from 11:30 AM until 1:45 PM at the Funeral Home.

Condolences may be expressed online at  www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, which is assisting the family.
