Willis, Amy Luella Erikson
was born in Rexburg, Idaho on April 23, 1915, to Alexander and Isabell Erikson, the 11th of 12 children. She passed away on April 5, 2011. Amy had many fond memories of her life on the farm with such a large family. She worked as a secretary in Washington, DC and at the Arizona State Senate. She was a very faithful member of the LDS church, giving years of service and devotion. Her faith was a great inspiration to her family. Amy was preceded in death by her 11 siblings, an infant daughter, LeNae, and her beloved husband, Max, with whom she served four missions in South America for the LDS Church. She is survived by her children Rick Willis (Denise), Lance Willis (Margie), Elizabeth Barrett (Brad), Ron Willis (Lida), and Maxine Pew (John), 31 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren. Services will be Saturday April 16 at 10 AM at the LDS Vineyard Ward Chapel, 1054 West 2nd Place, Mesa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the Relief Society room. Arrangements by Bunker's Garden Chapel.

Not sure what to say?

I served in the Chile Concepcion mission from 1982-83. Sister Willis was a kind, faithful, delightful person. At a zone conference one cold Chilean winter day, she asked my companion and me if we had enough blankets, if we had a heater, and if we were keeping warm. When we assured her that we were, she simply stated: 'It's so hard to be spiritual when you're cold!" I remember her with fondness. Our prayers are with you. Que descanse en paz.

We are dearly sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom led a full and happy life it seems. The Willis' are in our prayers.

It was a long time ago, but I enjoyed working with Amy at the Arizona Senate. We rode back and forth to work together. My prayers are with her family.

I wish to extend my deepest Sympathy to the entire Willis family. I knew your Mom while I was employed with Frontier Airlines and worked with you Father. She will now be with him in their Heavenly home. May she Rest in Peace. She was a wonderful Mother and I considered her a friend.

We wish to extend our deepest sympathies at this difficult time.
