Ana Francisco

Springfield- Ana (Perriera) Francisco, 91, passed away at her home on July 16, 2024, with her family by her side.  One of eight children to the late Antonio and Joaquina DoSouto, Ana was born in Alcobaca, Portugal, on January 1, 1933.  After immigrating to the United States, she lived in Chicopee and worked on the manufacturing floor at the Chicopee Undergarments company.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joaquim Francisco, who passed away in 2001.  Throughout their 47 years of marriage, they raised their eight children and helped to care for many of their grandchildren.  Ana loved to cook for her big meals for her family when everyone was together.  She also enjoyed sewing and loved to tend to her garden in the back yard.  Ana leaves behind her children, Maria Paulo (Jesse), Joe Francisco (Leonora), Joaquim Francisco (Christina), Virginia Lind (Art), Adelina Best (Kaine), Paul Francisco (Julie), and Dave Francisco (Sheila), along with 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters Ilda, in Germany, and Piedade, in France, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Ana was sadly predeceased by a son, Henry Francisco (2012) and four of her grandchildren, her two brothers and three sisters.  Funeral services for Ana will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA.  Calling hours will be held from 9:00-11:00am, followed by a funeral home service at 11:00.  Burial will immediately follow the services in Calvary Cemetery.  To leave your condolences or share a memory with the family, please visit www.CorridanFuneral.com
