Anabelle Lee Hauter “Belle” “Annie”
age 21, of Munster, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Anabelle is survived by her loving father, Albert Hauter; mother Resa Hauter; close family, Jasmin (Victor) Roman, Angelica (Dylan) Weaver, Alex Navarro, and Aubrey Phillips; grandparents: Michael Vaughn and Kathy and Steve Sabotta, and Norma (late, Frank Pajda and Robert L. Hauter) Pajda; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; many dear friends including Genavive Bacino and Railyn O’Connor.
Anabelle graduated from Munster High School in 2021. She was currently studying nursing at Indiana University – Bloomington. She was a proud recipient of the Daisy Award from St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago.
Anabelle’s presence was nothing short of sunshine incarnate. She had a gift for making every person she met feel welcomed and loved. Her humor and wit could lift the heaviest of spirits, and she had a remarkable talent for helping others laugh their sorrows away. Her impeccable style and incredible beauty were a testament to her vibrant spirit.
A tireless advocate for the voiceless, Anabelle worked hard to ensure that everyone was heard and valued. She was deeply passionate about mental health advocacy, dedicating herself to supporting those in need and raising awareness about mental health issues.
She loved fishing, music, attending concerts, where she could immerse herself in the art and energy of live performances. She had a keen eye for art and a flair for makeup. Anabelle’s legacy of kindness, laughter, and advocacy will continue to inspire all those she knew.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, August 1st, 2024, directly at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8501 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN, with Rev. Michael Yadron officiating. Anabelle will lie in state at the church from 9:30am until time of service.
Following Mass will be a Celebration of Life [Annie Fest] at Villa Cesare, at 900 Eagle Ridge Dr, Schererville, IN 46375 at 11:30am.
The family would appreciate pink flowers, flowers can be delivered/presented at Annie Fest - the Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Support the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: https://988lifeline.org/donate/ .

I met Annie at Lollapalooza last year waiting for Lana Del Rey to come out. We waited all day long from 9am to 9:30pm until Lana’s set.
