Not sure what to say?

I came to Chicago from a small Appalchian town in WV in the mid 1960's at 16 years of age. I found an ad in the paper that June needed a young girl to help with her two small daughters. She came to my brother's apartment and picked me up. I spent the summer with her and her family. She helped me a lot more than I helped her. I left at the end of the summer a different young lady. She had treated me like one of the family. I will never forget that summer. You have my condolences and prayers

In the four years I'd come to know June, I have always been impressed her indomitable spirit, her seemingly limitless endurance and her kind heart. All this, in such a tiny woman! She could run circles around people half her age, yet always had time to share a funny story, the events of the day or just offer a smile and wave whenever you saw her.

Very early on, I'd lovingly dubbed June
"The Empress of Edgewater" She was this neighborhoods full time guardian and champion. June's...

It's sad to hear of the passing of our long time friend and client June Travlos. I worked with her for over 15 years fighting to keep their real estate taxes in check. June was a fighter for fairness in all things and she made sure she only paid her fair share of Chicago's high property tax burden! June was a also a top notch landlord. Condolences to the Travlos family. Nancy Todd

June was an amazing lady and a friend. She helped to transform Bryn Mawr into the wonderful street it is today. Saw her a couple of weeks ago at a restaurant. She looked as beautiful and stylish as ever. She will be missed. My prayers and sympathy go out to her daughters, son-in-law and extended family.

Deepest sympathies to the entire family. Mrs. Travelos (that's how I knew her) always lit up every place she was with her wit and smile. Love to all y'all.

Our deepest sympathy to the Travlos Family in such a difficult time. I got to know June not only as a good and caring landlord, but as a champion for fairness for her community and her businesses. June always spoke her mind it was a pleasure working with her so many years, and she will be truly missed.

I knew and worked with June Travlos for over 24 years and she was a joy. I am grateful to have celebrated with the Travlos family the Bryn Mawr Street renaming in honor of June's husband Gus Travlos. Gus was manager at the Marine and Polynesian restaurants at the iconic Edgewater Beach Hotel. My grandmother waited tables there and they likely worked with each other. June was a pioneering no nonsense business woman, a strong mother and community leader. June was Edgewater's super glue...

A mom holds a special place in your heart.June was a special person that touched the lives of the people she met. Our condolences to you and your family.

This truly came as a shock, June was great and our thoughts and prayers are with you.
