Not sure what to say?

Wow, I am shocked and struggle to find the words. Andre was tenacious, passionate, honest and able to keep a positive outlook even in the most stressful times. He gave so much to others and he loved his family above all. So sad that his time with Laura and his kids was stripped short. Only hope they can hold on to the many happy memories and the love he gave them to get some comfort during this time and the years to come. Just so sad to have lost such an amazing human way too early.

I just learned about this - I am stunned and saddened and sending my condolences and love to his family and the many who knew, respected and loved him. I got to know AJ during his Bain days, and I will never forget his support, insight and encouragement. No matter the issue, he would jump in with his trademark wit, energy and intellect. Time after time he went way beyond the call - sometimes with a word of advice, sometimes with a sharp observation, and sometimes with just a laugh. He is...

Andre was such a huge part of my Bain experience, always there along side me in so many projects and going through the joys of life together. I have so many wonderful memories, most significantly the Disney 2015 project way back in 2005 when we dreamed of what the company could become ten years later. Andre always loved Disney and I was so excited when he got the opportunity to chart the next ten years. He will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to Laura and the kids. I´m always here to...

AJ, you were an amazing colleague and friend - always there to lend a helping hand or engage in an important conversation. Whether you were delivering on amazing case work, pushing the thinking for our Amer LT, supporting LA office recruiting or helping high school students learn about consulting - you gave 150% to it all. We miss you. And to the entire James family - please know we are here for you and sending you prayers and strength in this difficult time. Best, Tina

My sincere condolences to all of you. I only worked with AJ for a short time, but he certainly made an impression. He was a kind and thoughtful leader who valued diverse perspectives and made himself available to talk about how to make our company better. I appreciated our monthly catch ups where we bounced ideas and talked about how to drive change at a big and complex organization like Disney. I will truly miss our chats. Wishing you healing as you go through this, comfort in the loving...

AJ, You gave so generously in so many ways, mostly sharing infectiously your enthusiasm for life and desire to help others. You are fondly remembered by all you uplifted, and your memory inspires us daily.

Andre, you will be missed. We had so many great memories of our families together. Whether they were playing tennis, basketball , or going to Din Tai Fung we always had fun. You were a great dad. Condolences to Laura, Connor, Tucker and Penny.

My condolences to the James family on this difficult loss. Andre was a prince of a man and will be missed by many, including me. It's hard to imagine this has happened but I do feel privileged to have known this very good man.

Andre's infectious smile and laugh are still alive in our hearts and minds. We will cherish the simple yet precious times we spent with him, Laura, Penny, Tucker and Conner just hanging in Manhattan Beach and having dinner. He and Laura built a beautiful family and it was clear they were his top priority. His generosity was without limits. Chris sought his guidance on numerous business occasions. It's impossible to believe he's not physically here with us. But his loving, humble intellect...
