Andrea was an important mentor & guide for me from 1988-1997. When I think of people with whom I felt, in essence, a caring, parental role, she is the first one that comes to mind. I'm so grateful for what we shared.

In all my life I´ve never met a person more interesting and who had more adventures as Dear Andrea. Her travels abroad and her experiences later in "The Haight" (Haight Ashbury district in San Francisco) when all the action began, were quite remarkable, a gross understatement. I´m smiling as think of how `matter of fact´ she navigated all that. Andrea was a bright beauty, a brilliant poet and gifted with prose, as well. We were lucky to publish several of Andrea's poems in the Clackamas Literary Review. Her poem "Tenth Month" remains especially powerful. Our deepest condolences to her family.

I met Andrea several years ago when she started a group called S.E. Seniors Support Group in the Woodstock neighborhood. This monthly meeting became so popular that she elected to start another group, a small group for senior women who wanted to support each other in life's many challenges, ups and downs.
