Not sure what to say?

Remembering Andy on the anniversary of his death and sending love to Jonathan, Rachel and the whole family.

Andy's daughter, Rachel, is one of my daughter, Sarah's, closest and dearest friends and we have witnessed her amazing courage, fortitude, and undying love as she cared for her father through his illness. She never complained once, but rather, made it her quiet and selfless mission to bring him his favorite food, keep him company, and see to his every need. Rachel and Jonathan made him a thousand cranes and I believe that Andy could not have been a happier man knowing that he was blessed...

I was so sorry to hear of Andy's passing. We went to high school together and later ran into each other in Los Angeles. Years later, I found myself working with his brother Mitch, and I would always ask about Andy. We did speak a few times on the phone, but I regret not making sure that we got together. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you.

Andy always made me laugh, that is what I remember most along with his warm welcoming smile. I first met Andy in 6Th grade... the next 6 years would be filled with a great deal of humor.

My heart aches for his family and close friends for the loss of a special guy...

Blessing to you all...

Dear Ackerman & Jacobs families,

I so enjoyed my relationships with Gloria & Jerry and Pauline & Arnold. They were so welcoming to me when I first moved to L.A. I am so sorry for this terrible loss. Of course I did not know Andy very well, but both Andy and Mitch were always very nice and friendly when I saw them at family gatherings. For the record, I am the granddaughter of Andy & Mitch's Aunt Ruth and Uncle George Bondy (NY). Pauline & Gloria were first cousins of my grandfather....

I knew Andy only by chance. He was my cousin Artie Creager's roommate in college. We all went to the same school and many times I'd end up talking to Andy when my cousin wasn't around to answer the phone. I remember Andy as a sweet young man with an easy laugh. I knew he was talented and just the fact that Artie thought so highly of him was an indication of what a terrific guy he was. I just wanted to share my sympathies and send his family hugs and strength during this difficult time. I'm...

I had lunch with Andy one time and it has stayed with me for a lifetime. Andy was a man of principle who truly gave his heart and soul to every one he worked with. Hearing of his passing while I was away really touched deeply into my soul.
All my luvv to his children and family members.

Beneath the level-headed producer, Andy was an artist who just happened to be practical, supportive and honest. Also loyal -- to the people he worked with and the shows that he loved. Production-wise, he'd seen some wars, but he was never cynical. In a business rampant with ego, he always put others first. And his family above all.

No matter who you were on the crew, Andy was the best guy to have in your corner. Even though we often drove him crazy, he still liked...

Andy and I were college roommates with wonderful memories. We kept in touch periodically over the years and I always looked forward to exchanging holiday cards with him. During our college years, I recall two concerts at Madison Square Garden that Andy had tickets for. He asked me if I wanted to go with him. They were to see Paul McCartney and Elvis Presley. I’ll never forget how thoughtful he was to ask me to go. On the other side of the spectrum, a few weeks later, Andy came over to my...
