Not sure what to say?

I was shocked to hear of the passing of Dr Andrew Allan today. I was a patient of Andrew's for over 20 years, he had become a friend as much as he was my doctor enhanced by our mutual love of Fly-Fishing. A visit to "Doctor Andrew" was something I always looked forward to as it always included personal time as much as a consultation. He was a kind and compassionate man who really cared for me as his patient. His intelligent wit and sharp tongue were always a catalyst for plenty of laughter...

I have been a patient of Dr Allan for many years Andrew was so interesting and had a great sense of humour so we and we always chatted endlessly when I came to see him, I just returned from overseas and rang up for an appointment with Andrew only to hear the sad news. My condolences to Cate and the family, my thoughts are with you at this difficult time, Andrew's passing will leave a huge vacuum, he will be greatly missed.

OMG, I have literally just called to make an appointment with my doctor who after 20+ years, I considered a friend. Andrew was always someone who´s demeanor was so calm and reassuring yet who would go above and beyond when in need. I´m so shocked and saddened by this terrible news and can´t imagine what Cate and his lovely girls must be going through. My deepest condolences to all.

So surprised and sad to hear of lovely Dr Allan´s passing. Condolences to the family for your loss. You will have lots of happy memories of a great Dad and husband. So sad.

I rang the surgery yesterday for an appointment and was stunned to hear that Andrew had passed away. I my lifetime I´ve only ever had two GP´s I´ve forged a strong relationship with and by far and away Andrew was the warmer. He had a very classical approach to medicine, where he got to know the whole patient as well as manage the symptoms. That is rare these days. He was always engaging, pithy, and occasionally ironic. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting him and always left the surgery with a smile...

So deeply saddened to learn of Dr Andrew Allan´s passing. He was a gift to me with complex health issues. Always took extra time to talk about his family and his fishing implements! We discovered mutual love of Damascus steel - me the kitchen. Him hand made knives for fishing. An altogether lovely human being. Late condolences to his girls. So deeply sorry

He was a beautiful souls , amazing human being and a fantastic doctor.

I knocked around with Andrew when he was young. Smart as a whip, tied fishing flys from a young age. Destined to be a great GP, fisherman and the family man and husband he became. My condolences to family all whom knew him.

Like so many, I´m truly shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Andrew Allen. I´ve been seeing Dr Allen for many, many years and continued to see him up until now. I never felt like I was just visiting my doctor - it always felt like catching up with a friend, someone whose genuine care, wisdom, and advice I could always trust. Thank you, Dr Allen, for the kindness, care, and compassion you gave me and my family over the years. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. To...
