Bechay, Andrew "Andy" Born July 4, 1927, passed away on June 13, 2008 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and diabetes. Andy will be remembered for his zest for life, quick wit and love for his family and friends. His faith and spirituality carried him and his family through this difficult time. Preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers and sisters. Survived by wife of 52 years, Elsie; loving children, Mary (Jerry) Miller, Theresa and Michael (Carol); he adored and was loved by his grandchildren, Jess, John, Nikolaus, Zachary, Annalise, Quinn and Andrew; with an extended family of beautiful sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Though there is a void of his presence, family and friends can take solace in knowing there now is a special angel watching over us and he will remain in our hearts until we meet again. We love you so very much. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Tuesday at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 2914 W. 44th St., Mpls., with visitation beginning at 10 AM at the church. Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel 952-920-3996

Not sure what to say?

To Elsie and all of the Bechay Family, You are in our prayers. Andy always welcomed a friend and greeted with a smile. We will light extra firecrackers and celebrate with friends just as he did. Your Friends the Gabler's

Dad,
I love you so very much and have never experienced a harder time. I was given the gift of being there when you took your last breath in this world. This is something that I will be forever grateful for and will never forget. Dad, I love you with all my heart and soul. I give my promise to continue to make you proud. As I wrote in your obituary, though there is a void of your presence, I know I have a very special angel to watch over me. You will remain in my heart until we meet again....

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. All-thought I never had the pleasure of meeting him, by looking at his picture I can see the special man that he is. He also looks like a lot of fun. May the memories help you though the hard times.
