Andrew R. BENJAMIN

I knew Andy through Hobart Church in late 60's, 70's. He was a key member of the church, taught Sunday school, maintained a positive weekly presence. He also organized a great father son dinner in about 1973 or 74, and got Roundhouse Rodney to be guest speaker. Somehow he put that all together, I don't know how. I did not say much ( if anything) if Sunday school. Usually he just debated issues of the day with Ricky Bruce. I was happy not t be asked anything. I miss those great...

So sorry to hear that Andy passed. I have been out of town for the last couple of years and didn´t realize he passed in June. I worked with Andy for about 20 years and defiantly learned a lot from him especially how important it is to to volunteer and help others in our community. My condolences to Audrey and family. Rip Andy. I will remember you and miss you forever. Donna

Andy has played a significant part in my life, and I am so very sorry to read of his death. I know Andy and Audrey from their time as youth directors at Fairmount Avenue UMC. My love to Audrey and all of the family. May his memory be a blessing.

Andy was quite simply a legend at Prepare and Prosper as a "professional volunteer." He was always the first to jump in to help and answer questions, along with sharing a funny story/antidote/or tax tip with anyone who would listen. He not only made his fellow volunteers feel welcome and at ease, he made many of the customers feel at ease during a very stressful and tense time of year--I mean come on, who actually LIKES getting their taxes done?

Andy will be deeply missed by all of us that he touched with his kindness, humor, and faith. I am grateful for having known him and worked with him at Simpson Housing Services and Prepare + Prosper. Thank you Andy for the wonderful memories. Many prayers for Audrey and family.

So sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. What a wonderful, godly man. He will be missed by family and friends alike. Comfort in knowing that he is with Christ!

My condolences to Audrey and the rest of Andy's family. Andy was such a wonderful person-- he was able to make anyone feel important and cared for, and certainly that love for humankind was shared with thousands of people. I will remember him always. Peace to you all.
