Not sure what to say?

Let every acquaintance be treated like a friend, and let every friend be treated as family. Let every occassion find cause for celebration, and everything life brings be met with a smile and dogged determination.
A couple things I learned from Andy that I cannot hope to live by nearly as well as he. Though not what I'd call a role model in the traditional sense, he was indeed one in the best sense.

With love,

Eric, Caty, Scott & Steven

Maureen, growing up Andy was like our Brother. His care and friendship for our Dad will be a lasting memory for us. His love and care for our family will always be remembered and cherished.

He always made us laugh and smile, I will always remember the trips I was able to go on as a kid. He is in our hearts and our prayers are with you. So sorry we can't make it to St. Louis on Monday. Blessings to you.

Andy brought compassion and humor and genuine understanding to his work on behalf of the Animal Protective Association of MO. It was my honor to have worked with him and to have benefitted from his knowledge and generosity. My deep sympathy to family and friends and to all who worked with him. He taught us much about the value of life. Claudia Shugert (St. Louis, MO)

Maureen - Andy brought so much happiness to everyone....he wanted to share everything with everybody. He will be missed so much. I'm sure he's on his cell phone in heaven at this moment.

Dear Maureen and Lewis,

Please accept my condolenses. I learned about Andy's death today while I was reading the "Post Dispatch" WWW site. Since I have been living and working in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for the past decade, I rarely have reason to check up on news of my home town.

Andy and I worked together 3 decades ago. During that time I learned quite a bit from Andrew. And I share stories of our conquests as well as our failures with my finance students here in...

Maureen, Through the book club I felt I was a witness to Andy's determined struggle and your great care of him. I'm sorry you're having to walk this difficult path today. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Maureen and Lewis,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy over the loss of Andrew. I have lived in Vietnam for the past ten years, but this afternoon I had an urge to check the news for St. Louis, Missouri. Sadly, this is how I learned about Andrew's death.

I worked with Andy three decades ago, and learned a great deal from him. Much of what I learned from him I pass on to my students.

Andy and I had some good times together. I still ruminate over the idyllic...

Andy was the definition of a gentleman and a true friend. He was one of a kind and I am truly blessed and honored to have known him for the past 10 years. There are no words to describe how much I will miss him. Simply put, he was the best.

Andy was a wonderful and kind man. He will be missed.
