( I heard you on NPR, your reaching out is helping so many, inspiring and motivating, thank you for bravely sharing.)

Alyssa, I heard your interview on NPR. I don't know your family, but I'm still very sorry for your loss. I have also lost a loved one to suicide, and there's no pain like it. Thank you for speaking out. Your love for Andrew really shows.

Alyssa, I also didn't know Andrew but I just heard the interview with you on NPR and was touched by your closing comment about not being ashamed of the way in which he died. The way I've learned to reach peace with the deaths of loved ones is a kind of correlary:

I pray this can add some small measure of comfort as you grieve for your son.
Sincerely,
Ben

I just heard your appearance on NPR, and I am so sorry to hear about Andrews passing. Please know, there are scores of us out here who are very understanding of your loss, your sons feelings, and we know you are absolutely right: there is no shame, no judgement. 23 years of a young mans life and live are worth far more than a few seconds. I appreciate you sharing your story, and I wish you and your family much peace in this difficult time. Take care of yourselves. All my best, and deepest...
