I worked with Andy at the Library of Congress and stayed in touch with him after his retirement and relocation to New Jersey. He was a true scholar, who generously shared his knowledge. I fondly remember having lunch at his Trenton home and enjoyed wide-raning our conversations. Requiescat in pace! Jeff Flannery

I was sad to learn that Andy passed away. In 2020 he reconnected with the Library of Congress and we had a number of conversations where he shared great stories of his time at the Library and we updated him on what's happening now. Another former Libray colleague even drove to NJ to retrieve items Andy wanted to donate to the Library. It was such a pleasure to get to know him. My sincere condolences to the family.
