Not sure what to say?

God bless you skipper. You are not forgotten

I have fond memories of Andy DeBona while serving wiith him in Coronado while on active duty and later upon both our retirement. Andy would call me frequently to join him for margaritas in Rosarito Beach in the afternoon after work. I especially remember my visit with Andy and Christine in Ennis, MT in 1995 and their gracious hospitality upon my return from Alaska. It is with sadness I recently learned of his passing and extend my sincerest condolences to Christine and Andy's family.

My Dear Friend, i hold the memory of you close to my heart. God bless you Andy, now and forever. Scotty O'Connell. Mike company 3/26

Andy DeBona was more than just my friend, he was my Captain, and i was his Corpsman. The loss that i feel at the passing of this good man can be put into words here. He was an inspiration to me. I believe that his leadership saved many during the battle of Con Thein. I do not know how you fully measure this good mans life ?. I know in my heart that i miss him.
God bless you Andy you were one of the best of us.

Semper Fi, Colonel. Thanks for being a friend to this associate LoV member at a couple of past reunions.

When you're a young man of twenty, and you're on your way to Vietnam in 1966, I was lucky to have Captain Andrew DeBona as my leader and savior. I served with Mike Company 3/26 from Sept. 1966 thru Oct. 1967, spending my time as a Sergeant in charge of the 60MM. I saw plenty of action under Capt. Debona, and hold him responsible for getting me home safely. Marty Viscione

Semper Fidelis Andy. I will never forget Mike 6. The best Company Commander in the Corps !
