Not sure what to say?

My late husband, Bob Wolsky, was one of just a few boys in the eighth grade class at St. Aloysius grammar school. His memories of Drew were always recounted with a smile. One was that when Drew attended St. Al's, he was from Livingston and he along with the other catholic school students from Livingston had to stand on the bus (even if there was an empty seat) ... some BOE ruling. Funny, now. They went on to GCHS where I was a year behind them and although I didn't know Drew too well, it...

There were 9 boys in the 8th Grade class of St Als - Drew was one, I was another; reading his obituary was a shock but brought back fond memories of 60 years ago - it was only yesterday! Even then his cartooning ability was amazing (I was so jealous); He helped me get over polio by daring me to join the track team and after graduating high school together, we spent many happy teen age evenings "cruisin" around Caldwell, Roseland and Livingston - and Sunday afternoons playing tackle football...

My heartfelt condolences to the DeCoursey family. I worked with Drew at Bell Labs during the 70's and 80's and he was a real friend to many of his co-workers there. I recall in management meetings when we discussed personnel matters, it was always Drew who reminded us to do what was fair for the individual. He was creative, personable and loyal.

My sincerest condolences to Drew's family. Drew was an outstanding man and mentor during my early career at AT&T (1977). I always admired his positive attitude and boundless energy. He will be missed.

Reading of Drew's activities, I'm reminded of a poem called "The Dash." It refers to the dash between one's birth date and death date, saying it's not those numbers that are important -- how long or short the life of a person -- but the dash in between them: How did the person "spend his/her dash." Drew, more than anyone I know, even in retirement, spent his dash to the fullest. Drew deserves his rest in peace, but the world will surely miss him.

Peggy, Maura, Jennifer and John, Drew's smile remains a pleasant memory for us. His enthusiam for the Mets, love of his family, dedication to the church and time and devotion to those in need are just a few things we admired. We are so sorry for your loss. May God continue to bless you always.

Peggy,

I think of you often - you probably do not realize how much I have valued your mentorship. I only met Drew once or twice and it was so pleasant to see how in love you both were. It was so cute. My sincere condolences go out to you and your family.

Peggy:
My sincerest condolences to you and your family. I am happy I got to meet and get to know Drew over the years. He was an intersting person and will always be in our hearts. We will miss his smile! God Bless you all.
