Not sure what to say?

Our good friend Andy will always remain in our memory.

I only met Mr. Demes while attending The American Legion's Holiday Celebrations. His wife, Maureen, was my Junior Year Algebra teacher until her pregnancy caused her to take leave. I knew that Mr. Demes was ill and was quite sorry when he passed. I hope Maureen continues to be safe and well and I do have fond memories of her as a student of PVHS, Hillsdale, NJ.

Maureen, I was very sorry to hear of Andy's passing. I have many fond memories of the time we spent together at the American Legion Post. He was a very good man, and will be missed by all who knew him. May he Rest In Peace. Byron Marzan

Mr. Demes was my freshman biology teacher at Northern Valley Old Tappan. It would have been the '72-'73 school year. He was a great instructor - one of the best I ever had. Fond memories of our first dissections, learning genetics through Mendel and even typing our blood. My condolences to all the family. Know he impacted many students. Thoughts are with you -

Mr. Demes was my freshman biology teacher at Northern Valley Old Tappan. That would have been the '72-'73 school year. He did a great job - one of the best instructors I ever had. Fond memories of that class - our first dissections, learning about genetics through Mendel and even typing our blood. A great instructor. Very sorry to the family for your loss. Know he had an impact on many students.

Andy and I shared a cafeteria duty at NVOT during my first year of teaching in 1982-83. I remember him fondly, and offer my sincere condolences to his family.

To the entire Demes family,

We will treasure the memory of our dear friend, Andy. He was a wonderful part of our lives for many years.

With our sincere sympathy and much love,
Larry and Pat Linton

I babysat for the Demes's. They were both lovely and generous people and great teachers. RIP, Mr. Demes.
