Andy was a good boss, a wonderful friend and a great mentor. Our lives, and the lives of our children, are better because we knew Andy and Carrol Dykema. You just couldn't help but want to do better when Andy was around, he was such a positive influence. Andy and Carrol were also very supportive and generous to the West Michigan community, in their own quiet way, and many family's lives are better because of it.

Carrol, our sympathy and prayers are with you and your family. ...

We are sending Carroll and Andy’s entire family our deepest sympathy in the home going of Andy. Les and I remember all the Grand Rapids Gravel Christmas parties, and getting to know Andy and Carrol. May God surround you with His love, and may all the beautiful memories of Andy fill your hearts as you go on without him. He was a special man!

We are thinking of the Dykema Family today.
As Bostwick Lake neighbors, we were treated as friends.
We have moved on, but carry dear memories in our hearts.
(Catering to the house...on 24 hours notice, for a special family event is something we will never forget!).
Special greetings to Carrol from Dave and Kris Hassan

The world will never be the same without Andy. He was such a Huge Part of GR's urban renewal and expansion.
That was his business side. His personal side was even greater. He was a wonderful loving Husband to Carrol. A great Father to his children & a loving Grandfather & Great Grandfather.
Thank you Jayne & Jeff for taking such loving care of him and your mother.
Jack & I and hundreds of other close friends will be missing you and your little smile and hearty laugh. I...
