Andrew C. "Andy" Ellis

Saddened to recently learn of Andy´s passing. I was privileged to have worked along side Andy for many years. I learned a great deal from Andy about those we served and developing vocational training programs. Andy had numerous good qualities. A strong work ethic, honesty, compassion for others and a great sense of humor. RIP Andy. I´ll always remember your smile and laugh.

Andy was one of the first people I met at Broome DC after I came to BDC (Team office) in Dec, 1974. He would come to my desk daily. He was a wonderful person. Sally too..they'd both be at my desk. He was always so pleasant and easy to talk with. He cared about people and especially the clients. He was fair and caring and well respected and was a great employee and supervisor and tried to help others. He was a joy to talk to and be around. As BDC grew, I later lost track of him, but never...

he was an imposing figure. ran a tight ship. ran it well. an honor to know him. sincerest sympathy to Andy and the family.

I was a staff member at BDC under Andy for many years, as he came off abrasive and tough he was just the opposite he was gentle and very good at leadership, I admired how he loved his family and he spoke of his lovely Sally a lot in fact I remember him buying flowers for her on his lunch break once ❤ May you RIP sir prayers of comfort to your family during this difficult time

Carol ,Andy and family. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. My mother (Mitzi) always spoke of your father with great fondness from the years they worked at Broome Developmental Center together. My condolences to all of you. May your memories bring a smile in the coming days and years.

Couldn't have picked (and been honored that he said yes) a better person to be my Godfather when I was baptized. He was a great person and always had my back at work. Loved him dearly and will never forget his smile.
