ANDREW L. FUGATE, age 27, of Hobart, passed away November 4, 2013. He was born on February 5, 1986 in Valparaiso to Stephen and Janet (nee Cash) Fugate. He was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of home school. He was an employee of Piatak Meats and attended Bethel Ministries in Crown Point. Andrew was an easygoing guy and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Janet of Merrillville; brother, Allen Fugate of Merrillville ; sister, Amy (Tony) Parma of Lake Station; grandmothers, Jean (nee York) Fugate of Merrillville and Diane Cash (nee Woodville) of Portage; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Earl Fugate and James Cash.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Andrew's family.
A funeral service for Andrew will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor Gary Butler officiating. Burial will follow at McCool Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, (219) 942-2109 or go online at www.reesfuneralhomes.com.
