Please accept my most sincere condolences in Andy's passing. Recall that we lived on Alden Drive back in '62 when Colony Estates was the new and going place to live. We played bridge and otherwise socialized together with the Fleets and other neighbors before Ft. Walton Square or any malls were invented.

He was known affectionately to his family by names such as "Bop", "The Great White Father", or simply "Great White", to name a few. Great White made a great difference in his community and family.

I will remember him for his kindness, friendliness and desire to make people happy. I will also remember the time he joyfully offered me a glass of egg nog. I don't like egg nog, so I declined. A few minutes passed and he asked me again, and again I declined. Later when he...

Dear Ginny, Brad, Drew & Gwen,
I am heartsick that Dr. Giesen has lost his battle with cancer. You all mean so much to me. I began working with Doc in 1985 at FWBMC. I adored him from day one. He was the consummate professional, yet ever humorous and self-deprecating. He radiated warmth and caring. I so miss those early days when working with him was a highlight of my day. I loved doing fluoroscopy with him. He was a great man and a great Radiologist. I will miss him always.

I wish we had had more time together, but we felt very blessed to be a part of your family. Doc touched so many in my family and we had so many great times. He was a wonderful man and we are better for having know him. We want to keep in touch and will always love you all.

A mentor for many years through SMA, Andy and his consistency, good advice and love for SMA and colleagues. He was a real gentleman who will be missed greatly by you as family and by all who knew him.

I was privileged to have met Dr Giesen when I worked at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. He always had a kind word of encouragement for me. Our community has lost a dedicated physician and citizen. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time..

Giesen family,
I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Giesen's passing. I remember Ginny and Doc coming to my graduation in Auburn, and it was very special to me that they were there. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
