Not sure what to say?

I knew Andy during my work as a reporter for The Democrat newspaper covering East Amwell, where he resided and ran for the township's Committee in the late '90s. I found we had something in common: he had lost a daughter, Jennifer, to a head-on car collision, and I was more fortunate, my daughter survived being hit by an MTA tram in Boston. I knew his pain and began to take an interest in him as a kind man in pain but nevertheless ready to meet life head on. Andy fought well in the election...

I am so sorry to read of your dad's passing. I didn't know him, but I am also a graduate of PLHS. I'm writing in hopes that someone in the family does see this. Right now your dad's high school ring is being sold on ebay. It has a bid on it and the bidding ends tomorrow. I just wanted to let someone know in case you wanted it. Someone from PL spotted it and posted it on a Pompton Lakes page on facebook and we have been searching for who the owner is. The initials inside the ring come...

Dear Goldstein family,
Andy and I were best friends at Camp Lejeune, NC when we were in the Corps. His parents treated me like close family when the two of us visited Pompton Lakes on long weekends. I am headed to NYC for a visit in June and thought I'd try, once again, to track him down. I am deeply grieved that I am too late. He was a wonderful guy and a great friend. I am thankful that he came into my life.

Dear Andy's family,
Andy and I ran together on Grinnell's Cross-Country team during 1960-1963. I remember him so well - positive attitude, friendly, worked hard in our many practices around the Health Clinic and Golf Course. He gave me much encouragement when I needed it.
And I remember his colorful bulk-knit sweaters. I recall that his mom or grandmother made them for him. He had so many different beautiful sweaters. Gosh, I was a bit envious.
Finally, Andy had a...

Dear Janet, Susan and other family members:
Andy and I were roommates together for all four years at Grinnell College. After several visits to his Pompton Lakes family home, i grew to appreciate his family and religion. His sense of humor and joy of living will stay with me.

I am just now hearing of Andrew Goldstein Esq passing. We lost touch over the past 3 years. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends for a jewel of a kind human being. Andrew was always ready to make people laugh, he loved animals and his children. He will always be in our hearts.

Our sincerest condolences to Andrew's family. We are old friends, but we had grown out of touch these past several years, and only now heard of Andrew's passing. May he rest in peace. He was a wonderful human being.

Dear Janet Williams and Family of Andrew,
I was Andrews gardener at East Amwell. Andrew was always good to me. I am so sorry for your loss of your cousin. I hold dear memories of Andrew. He did love his farm. I am only sorry I did not know of Andys last past years where abouts. I do wish Andrew peace now.
All my deepest sympathy for a loss of a truly nice man. I will keep Andy in my heart. May your family find peace and comfort at this time.
Fondly Jane Duke
