Andy had only been in my life a short time. But in that little bit of time, He was a very caring and compassionate man. Just a joy to talk with.
He will truly be missed by everyone he touched in his life.

I remember when Andy would come to my father's house in the 1960's to take pictures of the parties and events. My fav pic is of myself, sitting on the lap of Stanley Marcus watching him smoke that huge cigar.
Andy was always respectful toward me at many other social events, just a few months ago he seemed just fine. I will miss his face at the social events. Time sure does fly, he left a great legacy and may God Bless Andy!

Andy and I would have so much fun laughing when we saw each other at charity events and the theater. I will miss him but will remember him with the letters he would send me. They were a work of art that I will treasure always. Andy was a very special friend.

Andy was a rare gem of a human being. My feelings for him and memories are so fond and precious....Everyone, that means WE ALL, loved him. Writing under the name of Jann Kelso, I wrote the social column Heard and Overheard for the Morning News and I adored him. Then, beforehand, now, and always. He was warm, kindhearted, authentic, and wonderful at his work.
He was a blessing and a gift!

Andy Hanson was a talented individual who documented on film the history of Dallas and many other facets of American life over the past 40+ years. A quiet and unassuming man, Andy will be missed by all who knew him or had the privilege of viewing his work.
