Renate...

e lost a wonderful human being and friend. I am so grateful and blessed to have played fir him those years in the port city orchestra and in gulf coast. He was a true professional and a kind caring person. He lived a productive and honorable life. His family will be in my prayers.

Dr. Andrew (Andy) Harper will be sadly missed by so very many in the Mobile and Biloxi music communities. We are blessed to have visited with Andy just a few weeks before his passing. Andy was a fine, warm gentleman who worked hard to revive the Mobile ( formerly Port City ) Symphony, a wonderful legacy.

His fine family is in our prayers.

Bill and I were so sorry to learn of Dr. Andy Harpers untimely death, just a few weeks after visiting with him in Mobile. It was a joy to see him after many years.

Andy was a fine, warm and always cheerful gentleman who was fun to work for and loved in the gulf coast music community.

We will continue to miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Harper was a kind, and caring man. He was a wonderful educator and helped me when I was working as a music education major at South. He was fun and wanted us to have fun.
