Not sure what to say?

Andy, your life has been deeply saddened twice by the much too early passing of Mary and then your oldest son. We feel for you but admire your fortitude in dealing with these losses, and we are happy to be counted among your many friends. Whenever you are in Toronto you always will have a shoulder to lean on, a bed to sleep in, a table at which to eat and drink, and camaraderie.

Andy, it's been a year and not a day goes by I don't think of you. We weren't friends for long but I am so happy we were friends at all.

Our sympathies are with all the Haydon family. We remember so vividly spending wonderful and sometimes frantic days and nights with Andy, Mary, Andy Jr., Kelly, Tracy and Terry at the cottage on Danford Lake. Who can forget those three inch steaks barbecued at 2:00am by the master himself? Andy, we feel your grief acutely, since, as you know, we have a son about Andrew's same age.

My deepest sympathy to the Haydon family and to dear Helen. Andy was a great help to me and a dear friend. I will miss him and the dogs who came over to visit frequently when living nearby. Estelle

To Andy's family. I just heard the sad sad news. Andy was a wonderful neighbor to my mother Estelle. They spent many an evening chatting with the dogs at their feet. It is a memory she will cherish. I had the good fortune to spend time with Andy on my visits to Ottawa. Will miss our evening walks. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Andy I am so sorry to hear of your son's passing. My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family.

Andy defined the word social. I worked with Andy for many years and he made work very social and fun. Thank you, you will be missed.
