I knew Andy from the business/legal world. We were lawyers and worked on many transactions together, sometimes representing adverse parties and other times working together. Andy even hired me as outside counsel a time or two, when he was in-house counsel. Aside from having great respect for Andy as a lawyer and businessman, I also considered him a friend.
