Read MoreI have been away from Toledo for almost 50 years and as our 50th high school reunion nears, I have just learned that Andy died over a year ago.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to all his friends and families. He was truly a fine young man and one of my classmates at St. Francis. I have fond memories of him and hope his families have found some peace over the last 13 months.

I was deeply saddened just today to learn of Andy's passing. I played starting right tackle in our senior year , doing my best to block for Andy back in the backfield. The guy had no quit, and had a fifth gear when he got in the open through the hole. He played most of 1967 with a special helmet because he had his bell rung a few times but kept on chugging. Andy was a good friend of our family and we will miss him dearly. Andy worked with my son Joe at Grogan Chrysler-Plymouth on Jackman Road.
