Andrew A. Kristoff, 85, a resident of Topeka, Kansas, died January 24, 2010 in Kirksville, Missouri. His wife, the former Lucy Ely, preceded him in death. Born in Taylor, Pennsylvania, son of Joseph and Anna Kristoff, he was a graduate of Taylor High School. Andy enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 and was a Pharmacist 2nd Class. His was stationed at New Caledonia, an island in the Pacific, and the Naval Submarine Base at New London, CT. He moved to Topeka, Kansas in 1946 and with his wife, Lucy, was the owner and operator of Christopher Studios. He was a member of Most Sacred Heart of Mary Church, Topeka, Kansas, and was a member of it's Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Andy was a loving husband, brother and uncle who will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are two brothers, John and Albert Kristoff, both of Taylor; two sisters, Mary Chyhur, Taylor, and Irene Hix, Kirksville, Missouri. He is also survivied by many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his twin brother, Adam, and his broters, Joseph Kristoff and Edward Kristoff, and his sister, Elizabeth Kristoff. A memorial Mass was celebrated in Kirksville, Missouri. Interment at the National Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, Missouri. Local arrangements Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor.
