Andrew L. Lazar

Andrew Lawrence Lazar, 66, of Newton died Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Kindred Hospital in Dover. Born in East Orange, Andy was raised in Nutley, then lived in Bordentown before moving to Newton. He was a medical equipment representative before his retirement 15 years ago. Andy enjoyed being with friends and family. He was also an avid golfer. His charisma, wit and talent will be missed by all he has touched over the years. The son of the late Andrew and Jeanette McLaughlan Lazar, Andy is survived by two sons, Chris Lazar and his wife, Beth, of Milford, Connecticut, and Andrew Lazar of Hamburg; two grandchildren, Alex and Justin; and one sister, Dahne Deeks of Whiting. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton.
