Not sure what to say?

As I read the notice of Andy's passing, and all the wonderful notes from those who were part of Andy's life -- I am amazed at the scope and quiet leadership Andy brought to so many efforts. On another level -- my employees know Andy as that wonderful, warm, generous man who greeted them when they worked in his home. He will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Carl, and Andy's family. Home Tek / Bridge City Cleaning Services

Hi Carl, It was apparent from the first time I met Andy at CH2M when he arrived that he would listen first and speak later. I appreciated his gentle manner and although we worked in different areas, found him to be good company. I too was unaware of his broad background but am not surprised to read of it. We all lost a bit of ourselves with Andy's passing. My sympathies to you and the rest of Andy's family.

Carl and other family members,

Many years ago I worked with Andy at CH2M Hill. I saw him again this past year at a "celebration of life" of a mutual friend. Andy is someone you don't forget. Professionally he was the best. His professional values and his personal values were inseparable. When I think of Andy, I think of a very thoughtful, soft spoken individual who saw the best in all of us. We will all miss a very special person.

Hi Carl - Please know that Mary and I are very saddened by the loss of a very special man, who impacted so many in a positive way. He made such a difference during his relatively short number of years on this planet. it is sometimes said that the good die young. Very true in this case. Andy was a very strong man who put up the good fight for a long time. Peace be with you and Andy. Pat Crowley and Mary Van Alstine.

Carl,
Once again our hugs and sincere sympathy go out to you and Andy's family. Not only the neighborhood, but the world that Andy touched now has a huge void. Andy, R.I.P.

Carl, and the rest of Andy's family:
Since first meeting him at age 18 at Deep Springs, I deeply admired and respected Andy's character. I judge character most by the net impact a person leaves on the world and people around him -- are they/it better off having been around him? This is a definite kind of immortality that one achieves -- the generative impacts left behind. Andy always tended also to reflexively deflect praise for himself, and this kind of humility is also something I...

Carl & family,
Many years ago, I worked with Andy at CH2M Hill. He was always considerate & a great person with whom to work. You have my ccondolences & sympathy for your loss. I will remember him fondly.

Hi Carl,
Sylvia and I are most certainly sending you our Love and Hugs to help you get thru this very trying time. We are very glad you two had so many wonderful years together and made the most of every minute. We also send love to Andy's sister and all the family.

Hi Carl!
Michael and I are very saddened over the loss of Andy.
We have all been friends for so many years. He was a real
treasure and we are so happy that the two of you found each other. He's gone too soon. We will always remember his passion for wind energy, equal rights and environmental issues in general. We do want to attend the Celebration of Life service when you have it. Our love and condolences to you and Andy's family.
