Not sure what to say?

Good night, sweet prince. You were my first love,

I just learned of Andy having passed. I am truly saddened. I was a business associate of Andy's for many years. He worked hard for my concernes He treated my with respect and kindness. He gave me sage advice and made time for me. I am grateful to have known him. Be at peace. Mark

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Andy. I was an employee of his for many years and learned a great deal from him. His love for his parents and his sisters was very strong and I always respected him for that.

So very sorry to learn of Andy's passing. I was very fortunate to have him as a friend during my teenage years. We had some great times and laughs together. My heartfelt condolences to all the family.

Our great grandfathers were twin brothers. Norwegian Lockerts. Andreas followed his sons and daughters to America in 1917, Anton stayed on in northern Norway with his family. The contact was kept through letters and later also through some visits. I grew up with the understanding that the American Lockerts were our close relatives, and I am glad that I have had the opportunity to continue this contact. On my visit in 1975 I got to meet the whole Portland family, except for Andy. But for...

Although I only knew Andy to grade school years, I always liked him and remembered him as being a warm, friendly, and really likeable young man. When Elyse Shoop shared Andy's obituary on Facebook yesterday, I was surprised at how sad I was to hear of his passing. I am glad that he had a good life and I know that all who knew him must have loved and respected him. My condolences to his family. I think that his sister Ellen was in my brother Michael Wood's class at Riverdale Elementary School....

We have been friends for 26 years and I found him his current home. We contacted each other on and off through the years. I can remember Len taking us to Brunch at Waverly and I attended Len's funeral at Trinity. Andy was bringing me CD's with an interesting arrangement. We might start with the William Tell Overture and end with Ava Maria. Who knew. He was one of a kind. Unpredictable, Bright and Quirky. Like a good seasoning he always added that secret sauce to whatever was going on.

Andy and his family were friends of our family while we were growing up. My brother Chip (Dean) considered Andy a close friend forever. Andy was funny and quirky, and will be missed by all who knew him. We are crushed by this news, which we just learned about today. Sending belated sympathy to the family.
