Andrew McDearmid was a great inspiration to me when we were neighbors in Bangalore, India where I was the Administrator of the Baptist Hospital.He was one of God's great gifts to humanity, wise but humble, kind but strong, loving without reservations.
Andrew gave me a copy of the little book he had written in 1950 called "Maneater of Rupaidiha", a story of a rogue Bengal Tiger which needed to be eliminated. I still have the book which is now almost 70 years old and...

Andrew was a visionary-seeing what God could do, even when others doubted.
Andrew was a doer-committed to following through on God's plan.
Andrew was an encourager-influencing thousands in their pursuit of God's call to ministry. Nearly 45 years ago God used Andrew to invite us to missions in India, to replace him at Southern Asia Bible College.

Now in heaven with the Lord he faithfully served these many decades, he reaps the reward of his labors.
