Andrew D. Meyer age 33 of Minster, Ohio died on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.  He was born on March 13, 1988 in Sidney, Ohio.  He was a devoted son of Ken & Ann (Boecker) Meyer, a loving brother to Tara & Matt Montgomery, Loveland, Ohio and Natalie & Carlos de la Garza, Dallas, Texas. A proud uncle to his niece and nephews, Brayden, Brooke, Blake Montgomery and Alejandro and Oscar de la Garza and a loyal friend to many.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Fred & Martha Boecker and Urban & Eileen Meyer.

He was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster.   He graduated from Minster High School in 2007. Andrew loved playing and watching sports. He was a member of the Minster High School football and track teams where he excelled in both.  He continued his love of track at Eastern Michigan University where he was awarded a track scholarship.  He graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in education.  He taught in the Forest Hills School District in Cincinnati for three years. He then followed his dream of becoming a fire fighter and EMT also in Cincinnati for several years. He recently moved back to Minster and was working as an EMT in Sidney, Ohio.

He was a dedicated fan to the Cincinnati Bengals, University of Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan and the University of Michigan.  He loved music and enjoyed going to many concerts. Andrew was passionate about working out in the gym and staying active.

One of Andrew’s outstanding traits was his ability to make friends. He didn’t know a stranger and always made people feel welcome.  He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
