Andrew F. Miklas Jr., 84, of Nazareth, passed away peacefully at Abbington Manor at Morgan Hill, Easton, on Friday, May 30, 2025. Born November 29, 1940, in Bangor, he was a son of the late Arlene (Long) and Andrew F. Miklas Sr. In 1966 at the age of 26, Andy started his career as a fireman and took first aid training to assist on ambulance calls. Andy in 1959 began working at the former Binney & Smith. He held the recorded for the most crayons made in a 38-year timespan. Andy retired as a molder in 1997 after a fulfilling career of 43 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a life member of Vigilance Hose Co. #1, Eastlawn Fire Co., Nazareth Jacksonian Club, West Easton Fire Co., and Jefferson Club in Bethlehem. Andy loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed cheering on the Nazareth Blue Eagles wrestling and football teams, the Phillies, and the Philadelphia Eagles.


Survivors: daughter, Connie Brown; son, David Miklas; grandchildren, Halin Paige Miklas, Victoria Catherine Brown, Ryan Benjamin Brown; brothers, Allen, Robert and wife, Rosalie, Michael, and Terry and wife, Bonnie; nieces, Roxann, Beckey, Rosalie, and Kirsten; nephews, Allen Jr., Tracey, Daniel, Thomas, Ryan, and Terry Jr. He was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Miklas. 


Services: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home 326 E. 21st St. Northampton. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in Andy’s memory. Online condolences may be offered below.

Not sure what to say?

My grandparents lived next door to Andy and Nancy years ago. My father was a service rep for Philco commercial laundry. Summers my oldest sister and I spent time at our grandparents in Belfast. My Mom would travel with my Dad. At that time I had two sisters and one brother. RIP
