I owe my career as an Athletic Administrator/Coach to Dean Mulcahy. He took a chance on a very young Coach to start an athletic program at WNEC. He was the kind of Administrator every Athletic Director would want to work with. He always promoted programs and ideas that would enhance and grow the institution. He was the best!!

This man was the most amazing Dean of Students! I believe every student back in the late 60’s when I was at WNEC, thought he was sincere, and so smart of an individual that we trusted him. (Our mantra was to never trust anyone over 30!). He always knew everyone‘s name, always had a smile, and was the most wonderful man. I wish I thanked him more often. He will be remembered fondly. Sincerely, Wendy Swan

As a high school senior in 1966, looking for direction, I applied to WNEC and was rejected, Mr. Mulcahy came to Philadelphia to revisit several students in a half-hour meeting he was able to see my potential and later on WNEC accepted me. I graduated in 4 years and at graduation, he was the first of the school staff to congratulate me, a fitting first step in my life. His role on the campus was a figure of compassion and understanding for the small number of us who lived in the dorms. He...

He was a good and caring person. If it was not for him I would not be an alum of WNEU. I never received anything as to being accepted and when to report. My Mom called and talked to a couple of people and was finally transferred to him. They talked and he told her let me find out and I will get back to you. An hour or so later he called her back and told her to have me come and come see him.

He was a great and understanding person. If it was not for him I would not be an alum of WNEU. I never received anything as when to report to the School. My mother called and spoke with him and he told her let me find out and I will get back to you. The person he was he kept his word and called mom back an hour or so later and told her have Walter come and when he get here to come see me. Classes had already begun and he signed a waiver for me to register for the classes. He was the first...

An incredible man! Always remembered our names . . .even the rabble rousers from the last 60s! He was so fair-minded and respectful of all!

He was a true gentleman and was the Dean of students when I first joined WNEC as a student of Electrical Engineering starting in the Fall of 1967. He also was the first official I met when I applied and the courtesy and graciousness he presented stayed with me since then.
