Such a sudden loss, I can't quite comprehend. Andy was a one-of-a-kind, a jokester, and a mensch. He was a good friend for nearly 40 years and my memories of times with him are many, but one that will stay with me forever is when he took a few of us to the telescope on Mt. Bigelow and I was able to see the spectacular and awe inspiring rings of Saturn. Backpacking trips with him were always unique with stories of skies, stars and railroads. I am sad to learn of Andy's passing. I met Andy about 15 years ago when he joined the Campus Farm Neighborhood Association in Tucson. He was always interested in what was going on in the neighborhood even though he spent much of his time in Flagstaff. He was a very interesting person who cared a lot about community and I am sure he will be missed by his many friends and family.
