Not sure what to say?

Ray was a devoted friend and true Southern gentleman who will be greatly missed. Thanks for the wonderful memories and fabulous dinner parties.
Love always, Jo Anne and Steve Huber

I knew Ray through Nancy. He was always a gracious gentleman. His love of life and knack for making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated made it a joy to spend time with him. He will be missed.

Ray was an old friend whom we had not seen for many years. He was in our wedding some 50 years ago. We know he will be missed by all the people whose lives he touched. James and Margaret Skelton (Alto, New Mexico)

Ray was a genuine southern gentleman and a dear, generous and gregarious friend we will deeply miss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. So long Brother Ray, we love you, Mike Lacy and Susan Beasley

Ray was such a nice man and client of the bank where I was manager. Enjoyed visiting with him when he fondly recalled
his family. You will be so missed.

BROTHER RAY IS HOW MY FAMILY KNEW THIS TALENTED AND LOVING "GENTLEMAN." GREAT MEMORIES REMAIN WITH US ON HOLIDAYS AND EATING RAY'S FAMOUS "FOOD RECIPES." GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHER. DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO MY NIECES AND NEPHEW AND TO NANCY PAYNE.

Ray was a good friend of mine. We worked together at Danze & Davis. I went to his home several times for dinner and he came to mine. We always had a great time and I received some great recipes from him over the years, one of which I make every year at Christmas time. I talked with him a few months ago, he was the architect on a home for some friends of mine from my home town (small world). He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My deepest sympathy.

Ray was three years behind me in high school. He was in the GHS Class of 1951. He was well known and liked. I knew him and his brother Joe from high school in Gatesville. Years passed before I caught up with the Payne brothers Austin where both had successful careers. Ray will be sorely missed by his friends.
Dr. George W. "Bill" Whitt, Round Rock

I will miss him terribly. He was the only one who still called me Margaret. He always made me feel like his daughter. The world lost a true gentleman when we lost ray.
