Not sure what to say?

I'm stunned to be finding out that Andrew or "Royster" as I knew him at Saint Lawrence is no longer with us. My sincere condolences and prayers go out to his family, though years after the fact. Royster was my roommate one year at SLU....Stretcher & I could be a little rough on him, like the time he came home and I had converted the living room to a forest for "our" Halloween party..complete with bags & bags of leaves scatted about & tree branches floor to ceiling with twinkle lights....

To the Royster family, I was a Fraternity brother of Andy at St. Lawrence and and I am extremely sad to hear of his passing. He was warm , caring and fun loving guy. My heart goes out to all of you. Bob Linton (SLU 91)

To the Royster family:

I was a college fraternity brother of Andy's and just learned of his passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Andy was one of the funniest and friendliest guys in our house and will be missed by all who knew him.

I knew Andrew through his sister Whitney, a dear friend of mine. Andrew's laugh and his sense of humor are unforgettable - that's what I will remember about him most. He was always a bright force in the room, you always wanted him around. He would constantly razz his sister, and in turn razz me. This I took as an honor - since I sensed that he only razzed the people he liked, and the fact that he razzed Whitney endlessly was proof to me of how much they loved one another.

A college friend of Whitney's, I didn't know Andrew personally, but I do know how painful it is to lose someone you really love. I also know how reassuring it is to know that the person you loved and lost is kept alive in the thoughts of others. Know that Andrew (and all of you) will be alive in my thoughts in the coming days and weeks.

I was a friend of Andrew's from Hopewell elementary school, when we were getting into trouble together for two glorious years. As so often happens, we went to different schools after that and drifted apart. I recently went back east for a visit, and read about his passing. Even though it's been a lifetime since we played together, I miss him dearly. My deepest condolences to his family

Dear Royster Family,

I was so shocked and saddened by this news. As a good friend of Whitney's from West Hartford, I had the pleasure of spending time with Whitney and Andrew. The two of them together were quite a pair; they usually had me laughing until my sides felt like they would burst. "Werdna" as Whit called him was a smart , genuine, hilarious soul. My heart goes out to all of you. I hope that warm memories of Andrew will keep you going during this difficult time.

Araxe, there are no words to express what you and the boys are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you daily. May God Bless you all, Much love,
