Not sure what to say?

It has been 25 years since my Papa passed. In that time the family has lived on with many family traditions. Papa was a great great man, loved life, his family, was always there to talk with you, was there to give you thoughts and suggestions if you asked him. My hope now is that my mother ( Mary Ann ) is right there with her father again smiling and enjoying her family again in heaven. Papa on this earth you loved your family, watched over all of them, tried to teach your Italian traditions...

Dad, it's been 3 months since you passed away from me, and I miss you more than ever! I finally had time to sit down and sign your guest book, and read what alot of other people wrote! You were loved by so many people and left quite a legacy! I hope I can meet your standards as I go thru this life without you here to guide me! I said it at your funeral and I'll say it again...you were an overachiever! I will love you always and look for you to somehow still show me the way! Love, Your...

It is with great sadness that I sign this guestbook. I first met Andy over 10 years ago when I had the absolute pleasure of working with him in Hillside. The entire time I lived in Chicago, it seemed I always had Andy’s smiles and a bottle of his famous wine nearby.

For someone from the South, those long grey Chicago winters could get depressing, but all I ever had to do to shake off the gloom was take a walk through the plant back to Andy’s shop and spend some time talking with him....

Please accept my most sincere condolences. May God's blessing see you all through this very difficult time and may you draw strength from treasured memories and the strong love that you shared together as a family. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I will always remember Papa as a loving and giving grandfather. He has always been there for me and my family. Family, Food,( Muncha, Muncha, Eat Slow Eat Lots) Laughter, Italian traditions..all of us grandkids having our own little glass of wine...(The Green Covertible)(The Fig Tree) these memories I will cherish forever.

Miss you Great Papa Andy! I hope our son will have your goodness and love of family and the traditions. Rest in peace and know that your great great grandson is on the way and will carry part of your name: Benjamin. Chris wants to say what a pleasure and honor it was to get to know you and you will be greatly missed.

My Grandfather ( PaPa ) will always be treasured for who he was a grand leader of a large family which i know was his pride and joy about a year ago last time i talked to him he smiled and said look susie we were standing at his last resting place and he told me with a smile on his face this here is my permanent condo he rested his hand on the marble and looked at me and smiled well papa you made it home ...No person is ever truly alone. Those who live no more, Whom we loved, Echo still...

Just this week I was thinking of Papa Andy when I was at my sister's house making Bitalidi. Thanks to Papa, the family traditions will live on!
