Mrs. Steele & Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Steele was a wonderful and caring man. He will be greatly missed. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. (DHS class of '92)

Mrs. Steele & Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. Mr. Steele was a wonderful person and someone I will always remember. Please know that you will contine to be in my thoughts and prayers.

My Dear Margret and Boys . . .
You may never know how thankful I am that I grew up going to BCHS with Bro. Pete. He was a 'Man' (head and shoulders) above the boys. Without a doubt he was a role model for others to emulate.
The last football game of his senior year those boys from West Blocton
H. S. "rung his bell". At halftime in the dressing room he cried. He did not even know where he was. But,
he scored the winning touchdown to claim a victory for the Choctaws.
Even in...

Aunt Margaret, Dale,Kevin and Jeff,
I love you so much.
I'm always here if you need me.
Love you,
Stephanie ( Mona Baby )

"Papa"Steele as he signed my 1974 year book was so funny and just loved by everyone. I worked in the office at Dillon High School my senior year and Kevin escorted me to homecoming. He had that way of looking gruff with that crew cut but the very next second could give you to goofiest look. I am so sorry for your loss, he will be missed but a part of him lives on in each one of you and you will pass that part to his grandchildren. He gave so many people so many good memories!

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Steele family: I was saddened to hear of your loss. Your fond memories of your husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, will help you get through these challenging times. My prayers are with you. God bless you all.

To the Family, Friends, and Loved Ones of Mr. Pete Steele:
I send my condolence for your loss. Mr. Steele was an unforgettable leader and principal at Dillon High School. He was feared by some and like a father to others. Mr. Steele lead by example and insisted everyone else fall in line or step out of the way! I'm so thankful that I had the privilege to attend school under his direction. He will be missed, but never forgotten!

I was deeply saddened to hear about the death of Mr. Steele, the man with the crew cut! To the Steele Family, you are in my thoughts and prayers
