Not sure what to say?

Geologists may come* And geologists may go And never change your point of view. When I run dry I stop and think about Andrew. All of the fun we had when we were young. I never laughed so long. So long. So long. I´ll remember. So long. So long. Andygator. *Corrupted from Simon and Garfunkel. With original intent.

Andy was a fine man and a great geologist, God bless him and the family.

My happiest memories of working at Texaco involve Andy. Shortly after I joined the company in 1991, Andy and I were sent to Paraguay for three weeks to describe rock cores stored in a Quonset hut in the countryside. That adventure introduced me to Andy`s good cheer and professionalism. Subsequently, Andy and I developed and co-led a sandstone field seminar for Texaco geoscientists once or twice annually. Working with Andy was a positive joy! I am grateful for having known him and offer...

Andy was a wonderful friend and colleague. I have extremely fond memories of our time in the mid-90's when we both worked in Houston for Texaco. Sincerest condolences to Sally and all the family. Rest In Peace mate.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Andy´s passing. When I was editor of Clays and Clay Minerals I had quite a lot of contact with Andy and we always got on well. I enjoyed his company and recall one memorable occasion in New Orleans when we went to a pub and enjoyed oysters, washed down with beer. My sincere condolences to Sally and family and hope that many happy memories will help you through this difficult time.

Andy was a wonderful friend and colleague, and I will miss him deeply. We worked together in various leadership roles within the Clay Minerals Society (CMS), where his unwavering dedication and remarkable sense of humor left a lasting impression. One of my last memories with Andy was at the celebration of life service for Jessica Elzea Kogel in July 2023. In recent years, I came to think of Andy more as a friend than simply a colleague. I´ll never forget when he met me at the airport in...

Andy and I had many enjoyable conversations over the years through his work at Clay Minerals Society as I am portfolio manager for their endowment. I was saddened to hear of Andy's passing so early into his retirement- the entire family has my condolences and I will grab some Andygator next time I have the opportunity!
