Andy J. Triste, age 68, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026. He was born on December 6, 1957.
Andy was a man defined by hard work, steady hands, and a heart devoted to his family. He knew how to fix and work on just about anything and took great pride in doing things the right way. His strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to help others were qualities that shaped his life and touched everyone who knew him.
Above all else, Andy was a husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished great-grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Triste; his daughters, Veronica Triste and Andrea Triste; his grandchildren, Dominique Triste, Anisah Triste, Angel Triste, Zavian Triste, Lyrissa Triste, Azayla, Amiyah, and Chuy Triste-Carrillo; and his great-grandchildren, Amaree Triste and Xeovanni Flores; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his siblings: his brother, Ronny Garcia (Dolores); and his sisters, Josie Lerma (Miguel) and Pricilla Lopez.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florencia Garcia; his brothers, Kenny Triste and Ruben Enriquez; his sister, Betty Enriquez; his nephew, Mikey Lerma; and his great-granddaughter, Yaelis Triste-Alvarado.
Andy’s family was his greatest joy. He showed his love through his actions—by providing, protecting, teaching, and always being there. His legacy of strength, love, and dedication will live on through the generations he leaves behind.
A graveside service and inurnment will be held on February 6,2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Saint Genevieve’s Cemetery at 100 S. Espina, Las Cruces, NM.
We take comfort in knowing that Andy is now at peace in the presence of the Lord, reunited with loved ones who went before him. His faith, love, and example will continue to guide those who remain.
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
— Psalm 23:4
