Andy W. Cunningham

Andy W. Cunningham, 92, of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. He was born on March 8, 1930, to the late Wilton Cunningham and Pearl Howard Cunningham in Christiansburg, Virginia. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Hylton Cunningham, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Andy was a long time member of Valley Drive Baptist Church. He was also the founding owner of Cunningham Tires in Bassett, Virginia.

Andy is survived by his children, Becky Motley (Rickey), Sharon Hornsby (John), David Cunningham (Cindy), and Johnny Eller (Wanda); grandchildren, Leslie Brown, Taura Olsen (Isaac), Katelin Motley (B.J.), Gary Dickerson (Lindsey), Sheena Dickerson, Conway Dickerson, Chris Cunningham, Alexis Henderson (Kyle), Colin Cunningham, Colby Cunningham, Stacy Humphrey, and Kim Eller; 13 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Margie Lucas and Viola Nolen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Valley Drive Baptist Church. The funeral ceremony to follow at 1 p.m. with pastor Bobby Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at Henry Memorial Park.
